I´ve had personal experience with Irritability, Insomnia, Low Energy, Depression.
This was around 2010. During this time I experienced some health issues. Although I was at the beginning of my 20´s where I should be full of energy I felt tired all the time, had irritability, bad sleep, and a couple of other things. What do you think caused that? Well to be honest I was eating like shit all the time. One afternoon, totally frustrated, I thought to myself “Dude this can’t be normal!”. I remember being so frustrated that something switched in my head and I told myself “It has to be the food I am putting into myself. It has to!”. This was around 2010/2011.
During that time I had no idea what I needed to do. So I started with the very obvious things which every person knows. I cut out all fast food, sugar drinks, and snacks like chips and ate for 3 months a typical bodybuilding diet, which included amongst other things rice, meat, eggs, fish, some veggies, etc. It was nothing crazy but what happened during this time had a massive effect After three months I noticed that my strength and muscle gains increased more than in the previous 5 or 6 months. I thought to myself “What the f*ck?!” No, I wasn’t taking any drugs. But most importantly, I wasn’t that tired anymore. I didn’t need some naps during the day. I could focus on certain tasks for hours. I felt way better in my skin and my mood improved dramatically, which of course gave me a boost in my confidence. It was around this time where I realized that being healthy is an awesome asset, which undoubtedly helps you in every aspect of your life. Every person who got their health in check will say the same. Period! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, then you probably still need to go through this experience. This was the time where I thought to myself “Wow I wonder how good I can feel.”.
So this was the starting point for me. During the last decade, I read hundreds and hundreds of studies, books, articles, listened to podcasts, went to seminars, and talked to hundreds of people regarding the topics of health and nutrition. A friend and I also created a german blog where we talked about these topics and our experiences and I coached hundreds of people around the topic of weight loss. Among these people are german business people, fathers, mothers, influencers, old and young, and many more.
CHALLENGES AND WHY I TRIED EVERY DIET I COULD FIND
What you will notice when you start learning about nutrition is that there are so many studies and counter studies regarding every topic. You know what I’m talking about. The typical “meat-is-good-or-meat-is-bad-topic”. Just to name one out of hundreds. So I didn´t know what to believe and that’s why I decided to try everything I could find on myself. In the last decade, I tried veganism, vegetarianism, the paleo diet, the ketogenic diet, the Mediterranean diet, typical bodybuilding diets, and so on. How did I evaluate the diets I tried? Well, I did it the old-fashioned way. I observed and listened to my body. How is my energy level? Better or worse? How is my sleep? Do I get up tired or fresh with lots of energy? How is my digestion? In the end, I concluded that high-quality animal foods are the way to go for myself because I feel the best when I eat them. So what’s going on today? Today I feel fresh even with less than 6 hours of sleep. I have constant energy during the day. My focus is way better and I can go with a task for hours which improved my productivity. My mental state has improved which helped me be more comfortable in my skin. Therefore I would strongly encourage you to try the carnivore way of eating and find out for yourself what it can do. It helped a lot of the people I work with in terms of energy during their day, fat burning, brainpower, and much more and I strongly believe that you will also reap the benefits.
Nature provides us with very simple foods and I believe that we should learn nature’s rules.
