Pain

Mandy solves chronic throat pain, regains singing voice through Carnivore Diet

Mandy is a professional musician and theater artist. During an intense rehearsal, she developed severe throat pain. It was painful for her to speak but the pain wasn’t in her vocal chords, it was at the top of her esophagus and felt more like a throat infection. Over time, the pain got progressively worse until she couldn’t continue on with the shows. Weeks turned into months and even after a year, she could only speak a word or two per day without aggravating her pain. Mandy was challenged both emotionally and physically because of the pain: an excruciating burning sensation all day long. She felt as if she had neither friends, nor a life so she stayed indoors living in isolation.

During this time, she saw approximately 30 different doctors who, in her mind, neither had a clue as to what was going on nor did they know what to do. The ones who did provide some sort of response said it was something irrelevant, that is, maybe she should try medication for depression or take a steroid to snort into her nose. She felt it was pointless. She didn’t bother with any medication because she knew it wasn’t the problem. The problem was the pain that no one understood. She became extremely depressed.

She finally took matters into her own hands. She tried every single diet that she could in an effort to find some relief. Several of them were unsuccessful. She would eat but then would be hungry right afterwards. She felt as if she could eat twice more but yet still feel hungry. She cut out sugar for a bit and that actually seemed to help a little. That was the first time she felt any sort of relief so she knew that diet was going to help.

Her friend kept messaging her about the carnivore diet so she decided to give it a shot. It actually didn’t take too long to get used to it. Visiting a naturopathic doctor, she underwent a test and was found to have heavy metal toxicity.

After trying virtually everything else possible, she found that being on the carnivore diet actually started to show results. She started to see the pain subside in her throat. Slowly she began to say more words, then small conversations. After six months, she’s now able to have conversations and sing. “It’s just such a relief to be able to have social interactions with people and to be able to express yourself through words.”

She’s learned a lot from being on this diet, things like learning about the basics of health and how important it is to fuel our bodies with quality food that we are supposed to be eating to give us energy. Because of the carnivore diet, she no longer craves sugar and is able to go the entire day feeling satisfied and not feeling hungry. She’s also 14 months sober as she overcame a binge drinking problem. The carnivore diet also helps her to feel more secure in her sobriety. She looks forward to continuing on with a more positive quality of life. She sees things more clearly now and it has helped big-time with her anxiety.

Mandy loves the diet and would like to thank everyone in the carnivore community for all of the available support. “I feel like as carnivores we are part of something really powerful.”

Nicole improved her energy and lost weight on a carnivore diet

This diet saving me is an understatement. I am blown away about how unhealthy I was. I didn’t have energy and I was following the gluten free diet, taking thyroid medication, vitamins and exercising. Yet knew something was still so wrong. My joints still ached, unable to think as clearly, or lose weight. When I saw a friend’s transformation I knew I had nothing to lose as I was doing all I was supposed too. The picture on the left is July 2018. The picture on the right November 28th 2019. The misconceptions I’ve heard about “these carnivore people may look healthy on the outside.” You’re kidding me! Planning to stay stricter on it and see if I can get off my thyroid medication as some have.

Keep up the great work Shawn!!

Terese increased her energy on a carnivore diet

Dear reader, my name is Terese and October 29th, 2019 was my 1 year Carnivore anniversary. 🥩 One year ago, I began a journey that I thought was only going to be a 30 day experiment.

The before photo was not taken specifically for this purpose. It just happened to be the only picture that was taken of me on October 28th, 2018, the day before day 1 of my new way of eating. The after picture was taken today by a friend of mine specifically for my after picture.

Former vegan

I WAS eating a whole food, plant based, vegan diet before I began my carnivore journey.

I was having some health issues, and put a question out to the Universe asking why, because I THOUGHT I was eating the healthiest diet one could eat.

The universe helping out

Of course, the Universe answered me. I started coming across information that I had never seen or heard before.

I saw stories about many others who had also had issues with the diet I was on at that time. I saw that many people were healing themselves of those issues by the Carnivore WOE. At the point I was at with poor health, and because I asked the Universe, I knew it was an answer to my prayer/call.

Trying carnivore for 30 days

I decided that even though it was completely opposite of my prior beliefs, (a belief I held for 25 years,) that I would give it a try for 30 days.

Close to the 30 days I felt so well that I decided to go for 60 days… 60 days turned into 90 days. Before the 90 days were up I decided to go for 6 months. At 6 months I decided I want to go a full year. Today, I feel like this is now my lifestyle. I will, of course, continue to check-in with myself, and Higher Guidance to see if it is in my Highest good to continue.

the weight loss was a perk

I did not start this change with weight loss in mind. I started it because I wanted to change my health around before it continued to get worse. The weight loss (39 pounds to be exact) was an added blessing!

I have received so many health benefits!

  • Increased energy
  • Longer stamina
  • Better moods
  • Clearer/sharper mind
  • Better sleep
  • More muscle mass
  • Stronger teeth
  • Clear skin
  • Shiny, strong hair
  • Clear airway
  • No more “getting sick”
  • Less body fat
  • Better digestion
  • Leaky gut healing
  • No more carb crashing
  • Balanced hormones
  • Lighter menses
  • No more aches and pains
  • I think I may be healed from asthma…if not healed 100% yet, definitely 90%!

I have never felt better!

Adapting for the better

In the beginning I felt lethargic for two weeks at about week two to week four as my body adapted from burning carbohydrates for fuel to burning fat for fuel. The adaptation phase can be different for everyone. It depends on where you are at with your health currently.

I also had signs of detox… weird rashes appeared… mostly on the side of my temples, and partially on my forehead, as well as on the back of my neck. That lasted for months. I would have to look at my journal/log book to see when that stopped.

I highly recommend logging everything you eat and drink, and how you feel, as well as the changes that happen, if you want to experiment with this way of eating (or any change of eating, for that matter). I have been keeping track of everything this entire journey. I have also weighed myself on a scale, daily. I take body fat measurements once a month.

The change in physique

The following are the changes in measurements in 1 year:

  • Weight -39 pounds
  • Neck -1”
  • Bust -4.75”
  • Waist -6.65”
  • Stomach at naval -6.5”
  • Stomach at low level -4.5”
  • Hips -6.25”
  • L Thigh -4”
  • R Thigh -4.25”
  • L Calf -1.5”
  • R Calf -1.75”
  • L Ankle -1.15”
  • R Ankle -.75”
  • L Bicep -1.85”
  • R Bicep -1.75”
  • L Forearm -.85”
  • R Forearm -1”
  • Body Fat 21.8% -7.5%
  • BMI 21.1% -4.1%

Learning to listen to my body

I also had to learn the new ways in which my body let me know it was ready for food. For example, I may start to feel a tiny headache, or feel tired. Those are signals it is time to eat. I did not get that ravenous hunger feeling like you do when you are eating carbs.

Great carnivore community

With all of my heart, I thank the Carnivore community. Many of you have been a huge source of emotional support for me, and shared a wealth of information. It eased my mind. It would have been a completely different experience without you. It is such a blessing that I have made some great new friends too!

Stephen improved blood sugar, dental health, digestion on carnivore diet

I am 25, 175lbs, stronger, happier, with better skin and digestion, than I’ve had since I was 17. Growing up, my family, in an attempt to chastise me or tease me, gave me a sort of nickname regarding food: “cookies, cakes and candies.” I loved sweets, and was known to eat all my brothers’ winter oreos or popsicles, cereal, or what have you. In high school and college I would legitimately have cereal as 1/3 of my diet (or more), along with bagels, bread, ice cream, etc. In high school some of my best friends made fun of me because I would sometimes even come prepared with a bagel in my pocket.

Then in college, everything started hitting the fan and my world started spinning: I began to have constant, I mean constant, stomach pain all day long, from the morning I awoke to going to sleep. Some friends in college persuaded me, along ethical lines (not nutritional) to try vegetarianism and veganism, so I was the former for a year and a half and the latter for 8-10 months— it was horrible. I ate tons of fruit, granola, cereal, soy ice cream, cider— I was rail thin, weak, tired, and eventually became very sick.

In Summer 2014, after a year of veg/anism, I went abroad and returned with a fever that stayed and left me almost bedridden for over a month; the apartment I was living in had black mold, and I didn’t have much energy each day. I brushed it off and got back to school, but friends around me realized I wasn’t myself— my energy was gone, I was becoming more irritable and withdrawn, I had panic attacks and my stomach constantly hurt all day long.

It eventually got so bad that I needed an ice pack strapped to my chest just to sleep, had various GI tests, got my gallbladder removed, and had constant searing back pain as well (which I also needed an ice pack just to sleep too). It was the worst couple years of my life, and I felt like there was no way out— praying and meditating alone and with friends, celebrating Eucharist at Church, being with friends, playing music, hiking and reading poetry were the only things that gave me solace as I became sort of a recluse.

Problems:

  • Hypoglycemia (probably pre-diabetic)
  • brain fog, poor memory, low mental acuity
  • low energy, chronic fatigue
  • intense anxiety, panic attacks (was medicated) for years
  • depression and mood swings
  • GERD
  • IBS
  • diarrhea for years
  • chronic stomach pain
  • failed gallbladder
  • Skin eczema/rashes (sometimes bled)
  • low libido (hormonal imbalance)
  • chronic back pain
  • headaches
  • lip sores
  • eye inflammation
  • easy sunburn
  • some random tumors/cysts
  • anemia
  • poor dental health

My mom and brother had been off of gluten and sugar for years by the time I was in college, they were nominally following Robb Wolf and the Paleo movement, but they did not know or practice a Keto or Carnivore Way of Eating. By 2017 I started eliminating foods and keeping a food journal, starting with gluten, then all grain, then cruciferous veggies, then nightshades, legumes, and on and on.

By December 2017, I was in shambles, and my roommate told me about one of his best friends who had Crohn’s and reversed it with the ketogenic diet. I was desperate, and had been addictively reading about nutrition, fasting, and ketosis (I did just barely come across carnivore at this time, but I brushed it off because it seemed too intimidating, I loved sugar).

After fasting all day Christmas Day 2017 and feeling much relieved, and then jumped into keto, hands to the plow no looking back. I starting feeling better and better, every week, month, and quarter I would keep saying, “Man, I haven’t felt this good since I was 18!” By around October 2018, after reading about Carnivore for a couple months, I was yearning for something more streamlined, easier, nutritious, and satiating, to get me to the next place (still had some residual anxiety, tiredness, skin issues, etc)— so I went to Carnivore and it just got better and better. My strength, mental acuity, and skin got even better. (Before keto- 2 pull ups, on Keto- 7 pull ups, on carnivore- 18 pull ups).

Improvements:

  • No digestive issues whatsoever
  • Best mental focus, attention, and mood since high school
  • no brain fog or headaches
  • best strength I’ve maybe ever had
  • much improved dental health
  • anxiety and depression are gone!
  • normal libido (hormonal balance)
  • little to no sunburn after hours in direct sunlight (first time in my life)
  • tumors/cysts disappeared
  • no back pain
  • no eye inflammation
  • clear and really smooth skin
  • steady energy all day

I am now absolutely loving this WOE and I don’t really see ever leaving it— although I am like 95% carnivore, I have some onions, garlic, mushrooms sometimes, and once a month or two I’ll split a sweet potato or make avocado pudding with friends. Meat does continue to taste better and better (I am soon going to get a quarter of beef!).

I am eternally grateful for the work of Shawn Baker, especially Joe Rogan hosting Mikhaila Peterson (my first major exposure to Carnivore), the Zero Carb subreddit, Dr. Darren Schmidt, and countless others for making this possible, as well as friends and family, who have supported me through this hard time and brought immense healing. I’ve now been on keto for a year and a half and on zero carb for 9 months and am so filled with awe and so thankful.

Peace

Chris improved his diabetes and mental health with a carnivore diet

On Christmas day 2016 I was admitted to the hospital with an infection on my left arm. It turned out to be necrotizing faciitis, which required numerous debridement surgeries and skin grafts. I spent 7 weeks in the hospital and a year recovering. In my research on the condition, I discovered how much metabolic health contributes to this condition. I was nearly 300 pounds, and a type 2 diabetic. I wasn’t taking care of myself at all and felt miserable. Medications were ineffective and I was getting worse.

In April of 2018, I finally made the choice to make a change. I did a lot of research and found the ketogenic community. I dove right in. I quickly began losing weight while eating very low carb and incorporating intermittent fasting. I forced myself to eat some vegetables (traditional dogma pressured me to) but quickly found the carnivore community after seeing Dr Shawn Baker on the Joe Rogan podcast. Since then I’ve been on an all meat diet and felt better and better month over month. Today I am in the best shape of my life, am no longer diabetic and enjoy living and my family more than ever.

Starting date: April 7th 2018
Starting weight: 294 lbs
Current weight: 178 lbs

Conditions resolved:
* Type 2 diabetes
* High blood pressure
* Sleep apnea
Allergies/hay fever
* Skin tags
* Low energy
* Frequent headaches
* Brain fog

Former medications: metformin, glyburide, atorvistatin, Lisinopril, gabapentin, Claritin and ibuprofen
Current medications: none

Doug improved adrenal health, psoriasis, sciatica on carnivore diet

Greetings, my name is Doug, I’m 28 years young 6’5, 192lbs and have been practicing a mostly carnivore diet with the exception of social situations for 8 months now. Prior to practicing a carnivorous diet I was plant based, with a focus on detoxification, fasting, raw foods and lots of fruit to reverse chronic issues.

I’ll share my background and why I began a plant based diet.

At age 19 I was living a not so health conscious lifestyle, consuming copious amounts of fast food while actively involved in MMA, competitive paintball (NPPL) and riding quads. It wasn’t long before I deteriorated 2 lumbar disks, developed a bulging disk, fractured and dislocated my L5 vertebrae. It became very difficult for me to deal with the injuries and not being able to participate in the activities I was so passionate about. I ended up spiraling downward and consuming even more junk as well as drinking alcohol and using other substances for the first time as a coping mechanism.

Fast forward a year or so and I was a wreck. At this point I had chronic joint and back pain, skin rashes covering a 1/3 of my body, under active thyroid which made it almost impossible to sweat, BP of 85/50, chronic fatigue, chronic constipation and a list of mental and emotional issues to top it off. Oh, and did I forget to mention the Neurospine institute diagnosed me with osteoarthritis?

I sought help from so many doctors and experts and all I ended up with was a dried up bank account. this is when I found, not just any plant based diet, but the MUCUSLESS DIET HEALING SYSTEM… by Arnold Ehret. He proposed that mucus forming foods are the cause of human illness and that man was biologically designed to consume only fruits and tender leafy greens. I jumped right in and began living on fruits and salads. Boy did I lose weight fast… From 200 down to 140 in 6 months. I will say that I felt less inflammation and eating so much from really helped with flushing out pounds of impacted fecal matter from the garbage I was consuming. I felt loads better with the removal of all the junk and still having the nutrient reserves to function. I eventually balanced out with cooked starches and heavier foods where I got back to around 160 pounds. At this point the skin rashes cleared up, I had less inflammation and overall felt much better although I felt very weak and was developing a poor relationship with food as I couldn’t EVER find satiation with my meals of fruit, salads, nuts or starches. This way of eating continued for the next 4 years.

During my plant based journey I became certified as a detox specialist, iridologist and took plant based nutrition courses to learn as much as possible.

After a couple years into a plant based diet I began experiencing bouts of depression that progressively got worse as the years went on. My last bout of depression was crippling and lasted a couple months where I shut myself off from the world and didn’t want to be awake. Some of the other issues that had had been progressively getting worse was my digestion. I would constantly feel bloated and fatigued after meals. Socially I became a recluse and didn’t feel comfortable around people who ate animals foods lol I was also an active member in the Dr. Robert Morse cult that brain wash people into believing we are a frugivore species. This was especially damaging because I felt I was harming my body if I wasn’t eating fruit or tender greens.

In December 2016 I had hit rock bottom and fell into the most challenging bout of depression yet. I slept and binge ate vegan junk food for month. I was now 205 lbs of tub and edema. I left the country in Jan 2017 to pull myself out of it. I wen to Costa Rica and began a 95 day coconut WATER only fast from fresh coconuts. to my surprise this was probably the best I ever felt during my plant based journey. As soon as I reintroduced solid food I began binging again. Within 6 months my digestion tanked and I was worse off, unable to digest any plant foods. At this point I was traveling to different countries around the world and it was a struggle just to go from one hostel to another. I remember waking up with such a horrible feeling in my guts and feeling overwhelming anxiety while in a tropical paradise. I purchased a blood glucose monitor at some point. I would eat a couple mangoes and my blood sugar would shoot up over 250. This gave me a feeling of brain fog and fatigue.

In the beginning of this year (2018) I began making this joke while traveling in Asia, “I want beef” and watching YouTube channels of people who ate only animal foods. Ok so At this point I was miserable and didn’t know what to do. I literally couldn’t digest anything and felt depressed, slept 12-15 hours a day and my joint pain was horrible! I came across Aajonus Vonderplanitz and reads his book. He said that red meat cures depression and is a great food for recovering from frutarianism. I walked down to a market, purchased lamb ate it, digested it well and it was like a like came on.

The feelings of depression and anxiety diminished over night as well as the chronic fatigue. For the next couple weeks I lived on eggs, butter and ribeye steaks. Everyday I was feeling so much better and mentally stable. Those last two weeks in the tropics were incredible. My digestive fire came back very quickly and my strength began sky rocketing. At this point my vegan wife now began eating animal foods and reaping the benefits as well. I felt Like I was reborn. The feeling of satiation after eating is priceless.

After leaving the tropics I flew to Washington and began practicing a strict carnivore diet where I consumed 2-3 pounds of beef a day with some butter. Over the course of 6 months I gained 30 lbs of lean mass while at the very same time felt less joint pain and inflammation then I did on a fruitarian or plant based diet. My complexion was much better as well. After spending 6 months on a carnivore diet I can now digest plant foods once again but choose to avoid them with the exception of social situations.

It’s now been 8 months mostly carnivore and I can honestly say I’m in the best shape of my life without any major health challenges and now strength train on a regular basis without issues. Meat NEVER gets boring and I’m always happy with a pound of beef and some fat on my plate and leave feeling content and happy. I consume more than double the caloric intake from when I was plant based and only got lean and muscular. This way of eating may not be for everyone but it sure does work well for me and has really helped pull me out of a very dark place.

My top fav foods are beef, liver, heart, bone marrow, beef fat, eggs and kefir

Thank you!!!!
Doug

Emma improved her eating disorder and pain on a carnivore diet

At the age of fourteen in the late sixties I became self-conscious of my weight. This was the time when models like Twiggy were popular, fashion and TV made us aware of how fabulous it is to be slim and so trendy. I had to sew my own clothes and copied the short dress styles. I looked cool and that’s when the eating disorders began, lasting for seventeen years.
I worked as a Dental Chair Assistant from age 16. My front teeth were knocked out in an accident and replaced with crowns and then the rest just rotted away to be all extracted by the age of 23.

When seventeen, wearing one of those dresses at a local dance in the country, I met my husband, the handsome farmer who killed sheep for us to eat but I never really ate them because I would binge and vomit for the sake of staying slim. Another 17 years later with husband number 2, in the city, still with dreadful eating disorders and having the bravery to tell my story to a doctor who had no clue and said nothing. This was in 1980. One day I decided to just stop it myself. Some how I had the discipline to carry this out alone and have never gone back to that particular pattern of self abuse since.

Fast forward 39 years, 2 husbands and 3 children later, aged now 67 my BMI is 24. For all of those years, food has been the focus of family and social life, having to be the Chef extraordinaire, also known as the Salad Queen.

My skin was always unhealthy with acne when young with thick makeup to hide it and Retinoic acid in the 80’s being very helpful. Small pimples still at my age, dry skin, bleeding gums, muscle aches, joint pain in one knee and hands and oedema in feet and ankles and headaches. My diet has been low fat, high fibre, 10% meat, 90% vegetables.

My father was a tall slim man with a moderately big tummy in his last 5 years, died at 91 in 2014 with an enlarged heart and terrible oedema in his legs. The water was coming out of the skin on his thighs 2 weeks before he died. I found him sitting at his table with a pool of water around him with a worried little dog sitting at the edge of that pool. I bandaged up his legs and got him to hospital. His diet was mostly grains, cooked vegetables with some meat with a small desert and one orange from his tree daily. One glass of red wine in the evening. I am so grateful that I will not suffer my oedema again and die the way my Dad did.

I accidentally saw some ex-vegan videos and Shawn Baker then began the carnivore way of eating in mid February 2019 and will always eat only meat for the rest of my life as all of my ailments have gone in those two months. The oedema of the last 5 years has disappeared and all my aches and pains gone. I eat about 350 grams of steak per day, chicken livers and some cheese and coffee with a dash of milk. I don’t exercise.

This amazing and fundamental knowledge that meat heals, needs to be spread all over world.

Noah heals Ankylosing Spondylitis, arthritis, back pain on carnivore diet

I was unofficially diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis almost 20 years ago. I have the blood antigen HLA-B27 and all of the classic symptoms of pain, inflammation and stiffness in my hips and back. These symptoms were constant and exacerbated with any form of exertion and worsened with rest. I even began to develop the famous stoop in my posture regardless of how straight I would stand… While many my age were in “their prime”, I felt I was in decline. Always searching for health centered solutions, I was hopeful that the internet would produce testimonies of others that have found relief from their chronic inflammation. I was was often disappointed with the search results! I always found myself searching for Vegan or vegetarian solutions and never found relief… One day about 3 months ago my sister Laurie told me abut Dr Shawns information along with Mikhaila Peterson’s testimony of relief and I was so excited!

I made the choice and removed all plant sources from my diet (except organic coffee). Within 3 weeks I was sleeping through the night and waking pain free! I am so thankful that my sister thought of me and shared these ideas with me! I hope my story encourages some of you on your health journey to not quit trying to find your health solutions.

Check out my story here:

Erin treats Multiple Sclerosis, feels good on carnivore diet

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an auto immune disease and a horrible way to live, with or without medications. I heard about diet making a difference, so I jumped in.

First with Raw Vegan. Then transitioned into clean vegan, then high starch, low fat vegan. At first I felt better, I could stop meds and I thought a miracle had occurred. Slowly after time I stopped thriving and my symptoms came back with a fury.  A friend mentioned to me about the wonders of coconut oil and so I started implementing it along side a plant based diet.

Improvements, but not enough. I had to start taking meds again.

In my desperation I discovered Dr. Terry Wahls and her story and protocol. I greatly improved, my health was coming back and I was becoming strong again. But as well suffered terrible digestion with the amounts of vegetables I was eating, so I knew I had to find something else or readjust the program, which lead me to keto.

I was finally thriving. The weight I had gained, from being ill and from not being as active, started coming off. I felt amazing and was doing amazing as well. My digestion was still really bothering me and my medical people and I struggled to resolve these issues and chalked it up to a combination of aging and as well MS. We tried everything, from fermentations, to supplementing with digestive support treatments, and elimination diets, all within the keto frame work.

I finally ran across this crazy doctor (Dr. Shawn Baker) that was eating only meat. I could not wrap my mind around this, so I set out to dig further into it. Through this I discovered full communities of people that were eating meat only or only animal products and being healthy. What? Could this even be possible? The rabbit hole took me better than two months to actually look at, before trying this to see if it would help me.

First time I did it for a couple of weeks and stopped, as I started feeling not so well, to discover I was not eating enough. My old mentality of dieting plagued me. After awhile I gave it another shot, failed after 11 days. What was I doing wrong? So I stopped and went back and looked a bit deeper and starting asking questions. I was not taking in enough salt and minerals, thank you Primal Edge Health.

After awhile I prepared better, I planned better and I completed 2 months. Feeling amazing, my activity increased, my pain was almost completely gone and I was doing things I had never though I could, like kettle bell and weight training.

Then I started to do something more toward a hyper-carnivore diet, adding some plants back in and testing my reactions to them. I have determined my limits and stay pretty close to an all animal based diet, because this is where I feel my best and do my best.

It has been 4 months now and seriously I can not remember a Spring where I felt this good.  I am looking forward to continuing to heal and hold my own with MS, as well as not afraid of aging.  I feel I have found the perfect way of eating for me.

Here I am suffering with MS and being medicated and just not thriving.

Here I am today with a new lease on life.

Jade had less complications during pregnancy on a carnivore diet

Today, August 26th 2019, is day 90 carnivore with no “slips”.

Tomorrow is week 33 of my pregnancy.

Carnivore at conception til week 8-10 when I went strict keto (with meat when I could) until back to carnivore around week 19-20. I’ve been in ketosis for this entire pregnancy.

I eat red meat (lamb and beef mostly), prosciutto, eggs, raw milk, raw milk kefir, shellfish, occasional rainbow trout, cheeses, and I drink coffee.

I take cow liver, cow brain, fermented skate liver oil, collagen, and magnesium.

Okay so with that intro out of the way! Post purpose. 90 day update!

There are some major things that are different this pregnancy (4th baby) than any of the pregnancies I’ve had in the past, and even from being keto and not carnivore in the early stages. Once going carnivore some big changes took place and I’d probably need a day to list them all.

I’m just gonna attempt to highlight my favorites

-Not a single new stretch mark this pregnancy.

Historically I’ve gotten such bad stretch marks that during the pregnancy you could SEE the tissue moving beneath the stretched out and destroyed skin.

-No morning sickness

-No cravings

-No swelling, inflammation, or bloat

-No anxiety or mood problems of any kind. I used to have severe panic disorder, type 2 bipolar, and depression.

-ZERO weight gain. Every other pregnancy I gained 70lbs and even had gestational diabetes with my third

-My hair ISN’T falling out this pregnancy

-I’ve gained muscle and strength without effort

-I’ve lost fat and lost clothing sizes

-My skin is more clear and softer than it’s EVER been. I used to get boils and cystic acne that I would have to drain and patch. It was a constant thing mostly on my upper back and sometimes my face and thighs.

-No more itchy dry skin on my legs that would have me clawing myself raw in the night.

-My diastasis recti healed itself mid pregnancy around week 25.

-No more muscle cramping

-stopped needing my chiropractor for reoccurring neck torticollis and lower back problems

-Nerve damage healed

-cracked heels gone

-grey hair regaining pigment

-My eye color has changed and is “cleaner”

-eye styes are gone and haven’t come back

-teeth never feel dirty

-My skin has pigment and I actually flush with color

-No more ear flushes for too much wax

-Rapid healing when injured and extremely high pain tolerance.

-More limber and stretchy

-More energy/No fatigue

-Knee joint pain is gone

-I have this sense of confidence and contentment that had been missing for all of my life previously.

Like I said I could go on for days and days about the amazing benefits I’ve had since going carnivore. They just keep coming and I just keep noticing them. I cannot say enough positive things about the carnivore diet, especially while pregnant.

When I was keto mid pregnancy I didn’t have all of these awesome things going on. I didn’t gain weight at all but it wasn’t even close to what my body is achieving as a pregnant carnivore. It truly took commitment to this WOE and removing everything else before the changes and healing started taking place.

This is easily the best and healthiest pregnancy I’ve ever had and I’m never going back
